Girl Fighter!


The GRID game battle RPG dubbed Girl Fighter is now scrapped. I will not be making a battle game. Basically it was a waste of time making all of those sprites. The idea in question came from Moekuri. I wanted to make a game similar but it wouldn't have been as advanced but a game that would have featured original characters. I wanted the game to be like a chess game only more of an RPG. Because in Moekuri the characters do "not" move in battle they just look like images and I thought to myself I can do that too!!! But while working on the game I came across a major flaw where the images while animated "vanish" which makes the game unplayable. Just to note I wasn't using RPG MAKER for this game as it couldn't fit in the image files - as far as I know they are just too big. So instead I was using a GRID battle engine in Unity - which failed big time. I'll go deep into the characters stories, this game idea may never see the light of day. It's a shame too, I really had something going there. Instead I'll put all my time and effort into creating Torn Between.


Characters:

Mangaboo
Mangaboo was to have been the main character. There isn't much known about her. Her character background is simple. Mangaboo hears about a battle, one in which that will give the winner "ultimate" power. Her secret is that is actually a decendant of the royal family of Azaliea aka the Azalians. Mangaboo may not get to make her debut but I have others plans for M. Boo in the near future.


Prince Pancake aka The Pancake Prince
 Also known as Pan. Prince Pancake is the ruler of Azaliea Castle.  Prince Pancake is actually deceased. He's came down from above to take the "ultimate" power by force.


Divine Prince Pancake
Using the power of "Pancake Surprise" Prince Pancake is a more powerful version of his former self.


Princess Pancake aka the Pancake Princess
The Pancake Princess of a parallel universe has teamed up with Prince Pancake. She's not as strong as Prince Pancake. By her side are three Maids of Azaliea. Before the darkness covered her land Prince Pancake came from a warp-hole and had dissolved the dark matter. He asked the Pancake Princess but one request. The request he asked was that she help him gain the "ultimate" power.

Sira
The first maid is known as Sira who is the alternative version of Mira. Unlike Mira she is more bold and will do just about anything for her ruler.

Lani
Next is Lani who is the black maid. She's the same Lani from the original Pancake Surprise only without the purple hair. When Prince Pancake came from above he went directly to her as she unlike Miko was more strong and after the deaths of Mira and Prince Pancake she was concerned about the changes in Azaliea. Her friend Miko had quit working in the castle which lead Lani to think about what was currently going on around her. With no hope Lani considered suicide until the Pancake Prince came from above to her with but one request.

Piko
Piko is the alternative version of Miko who appeared in Pancake Surprise. Unlike Miko, Piko does not scare easy. She will do just about anything for her ruler.

Rozella
Rozella is some form of plant species. She feels that plants are not treated with the respect they deserve and wants the power to take over the world and make it into a jungle... one with man eating planting.

Elyira
Elyira is a witch who wants to take the "ultimate" power and use it to enhance and or upgrade her magical power that her grandfather a powerful wizard taught her.

Lady Miss Cier
A DJ known for her hit song "Pumping Up the Heart," She wants to use the power to make the world a more loving, peaceful place. Her motto is; "We're pumping up the heart! Pumping up the heart!"

Siren
Similar to that of a Mermaid but more dangerous. She's combined forces with a Mermaid.

Spariel the Spittle Spermaid
A Mermaid with a lisp. She is easily led and is conned into fighting by Siren. "Spy Spont Spu Spe Spere Spu Speople Spar!" - She wants to be where the people spar.

Gigi
Gigi the Personality Girl. Gigi heard the power can grant any wish you desire. So she enters the contest with Lemon.

Gigi also has her alternative Burlesque wear.

Lemon

Lemon the Action Girl is a Chinese martial artist, cook who makes her own clothes who stands by Gigi's side. She will protect Gigi no matter what.

As the battle goes on Lemon will let her hair loose and take off her clothes to reveal her 4-pac and her Lemonesque bikini.

Cocoa
Cocoa is Lemon's best friend. Lemon broke her our of jail to help out in battle. Cocoa has a violent nature, so Lemon thought she would be a great help in battle.

Ann Lavish
Little Annie Lavish the Vo-Doh-Oh-De-Oh girl also wants the power for her own gain. She has no team members.

But does Little Annabell Lavish have something else on her mind? According to vast information Ann wants the power to return to the living. She made a deal with the devil and has 24 hours to obtain the power by force or she'll forever burn in hell.

Mint
Gigi's little cousin Peppermint has heard that the Pancake Prince has appeared and wants to see him with his own two eyes and wants to see if he really is like the Pancake Prince so Mint secretly Gigi and Lemon who are trying to get hold of the "ultimate" power.

His alternative outfit is the classic sailor themed costume.

"Oh, My Dear!"

Here is a "Oh, My Dear!" test. It is the finished version only without the  sample background music. I have completed the whole scene. So everything is already set. The song starts off with; "Oh, My Dear, Everything's so Queer!". The full song is performed by Rina Adachi. The sample version was scrapped, in favor of manually creating the background theme song. Which is similar to the original, only more or less making it my own. The mouth syncs perfectly with the vocals. I was thinking vaudeville and or Broadway. You know the typical stage scene. It is a big part of the story, as that is what my mascot characters are all about. Well one of them anyway. After Torn Between I don't think I want to do anything else. But that being said I could always have a change of heart. I think Torn Between  a good send off to both mascots. And this time more time and energy and effort has been put into the script. OMD (Sample)

Here is the sample version of "Oh, My Dear!" which is not going to be used. Instead I have manually created the background music myself. I have got half of the game completed, it just needs touching up a little. The characters movements and face expressions need adding. I just have to finish up with the voice-over. It is really time consuming, and the fact that I just don't feel like doing anything as I don't feel too good this week. This website here is only temporary, until the release of the game. I'll be moving back to my old website, which will be getting a new make-over as soon as all the old galleries are cleaned. It is all about getting space back by deleting old content. 2D Pixel Animated Scene (Lost Transparency)

So I am having trouble with the singing sequence. It is finished but every time the finished video is extracted, it will not show the animations. The image to the left is the version that has lost transparency. So apparently when the video is transformed from SWF to AVI some of the animations won't show. So I had to use a desktop recording tool to try and record it. It caught most of the animation minus a few blinks and winks but the video also lost transparency. I'll admit it doesn't look bad but Gigi's skin tone has changed lighter, her make-up and costume have lost all the color. I mean all this just for one animated scene?  God! I only have a week or two left to complete Torn Between and I have yet to get down to business. I've been too busy, and as said every time I try to continue where I left off... it is then time for bed. What is left to do with Torn Between? SWF to Mp4 (Solved)

Well I quickly did some research because I thought there had to be a way to get the SWF file to convert without losing transparency and animations featured. When animating I didn't do frame by frame, I used a trick, by creating layers over layers to make it easy, and when converting a Flash project to AVI it doesn't pick up the animations if they are not frame by frame. After researching I found it. So forget the online video conversion tools. The tool captures all 2282 frames and you don't lose the transparency.  The only problem with iLike-Share is the watermark. I thought I would finally be able to finish up... sadly it didn't work to plan. Although I could crop the video, but then the background would be missing. So I tried another video converter, which was cheaper... I guess? And it claimed it couldn't convert the file and tried to trick me into buying another tool. And I was like, NO! But the file eventually converted the SWF file into a M

Mangaboo-bye!

Originally I was working on a brand new mascot, but now plans for this are scrapped. I don't really need any mascots, I already have two who will make their final appearance in Torn Between a story in which I have completed today. It took ages to put the faces in and ensure the characters movements were 100% accurate. I'll be happy when I have finished up with it. Currently I am trying to grab images, and screenshots, and so on. You have to upload the game to numerous sites and also make sure you have wrote everything to perfection I can't go into detail, I can't be asked but yeah, that is what you do. The project was fun to work on but killed me, took ages and was supposed to have been distributed last week. But if I didn't put effort into it... people who tried it would be like... WTF!? Logo Sequence

I managed to complete the opening logo sequence including the ending sequence. My original idea to have the character mascot fall to the right was scrapped. It us much easier to have the character just jump, and it makes the opening logo sequence. The character also appears again, but not until the end of the story. I've nearly managed to finish on all the video sequences, in all honesty the video sequences took up most of my time. It has a lot to do with the size which is "544x416". If you don't have the right size, the video will not fit into the engine. What is there left to do? Well finish up the in-game scenes and sync the last of the vocals to the characters. I had to get all my credits too... for the credit sequence. As stated this is the last story/game I'll ever create so putting all the time and effort into making it is vital. 2D Pixel World

Hi, B.M  here and I thought I'd open a personal blog where I can freely post my 2D pixel artwork. This blog here is mainly for my personal journey. It's mainly so I can keep track of what I want to do. Now I am super lazy when it comes to things. When I make games or stories they ain't made or targeted towards anyone but myself. Most people wouldn't even get my sense of humor.  Here is a big 2D sprite model I created. When working with various game engines you cannot fit "large scaled" 2D art into them so instead you must take the Chibi approach. Over the 2016-2017 I tried and tried to make my own custom sprites as I am rather fond of the RPG Maker Game Engine . I noticed that it was quite hard to get what you wanted. It is design & Illustration, web publishing software developed by Kadokawa . You can get it for $69.99. The engine is quite simple to use. Torn Between (2017) 2D Animation Audio Lip-Sync

Today is the day that I have started lip-syncing the animated 2D pixel sequence. When speaking to the lead vocal ( Rina Adachi ) of the fictional character Gigi I had her split the vocal in half and it worked wonders. I'm not a VO artist, so you won't ever hear me and I refuse to do it, because there are stalkers out there who will stalk and do. I don't mind people reading what I write, but I don't like the crazy obsessed people who feed off everything I type up, and I know the ones. I won't name any names, but ya'll crazy - specially that bald headed Fred guy and that scary ass Italian man who are both equally cyber-stalkers. Anyway who cares about them and their crazy obsessions they just need to keep out of my distance, freaks. Rina's singing vocal was then edited and split in an audio software. Torn Between Update: (11/08/2017)

Gigi (Original Sprite Concept) Torn Between (2017) is still in process of being created. I managed to find an original sprite concept art piece which wasn't used and that is how the sprites would have been. So why is it taking to long? It's the whole spell checking, and adding the animated sequences. I can't really progress far without the VO for various sequences as said before so instead it's putting the game together in advance which takes long. I also have to animate the character movements, so they move and ensure the emotion bubbles are present. You can't just make a game, it's not that simple you have to link up the whole story with codes. It's not just like simple, like adding images there is more to the Enterbrain game engine that meets the eye. There is so much "text" I never knew how much I actually wrote for the game. So yeah, I really do prefer making short story based games. But this time I thought if the game were to be small
