Torn Between (2017) 2D Animation Audio Lip-Sync

Image
Today is the day that I have started lip-syncing the animated 2D pixel sequence. When speaking to the lead vocal ( Rina Adachi ) of the fictional character Gigi I had her split the vocal in half and it worked wonders. I'm not a VO artist, so you won't ever hear me and I refuse to do it, because there are stalkers out there who will stalk and do. I don't mind people reading what I write, but I don't like the crazy obsessed people who feed off everything I type up, and I know the ones. I won't name any names, but ya'll crazy - specially that bald headed Fred guy and that scary ass Italian man who are both equally cyber-stalkers. Anyway who cares about them and their crazy obsessions they just need to keep out of my distance, freaks. Rina's singing vocal was then edited and split in an audio software. And so when it was imported into Flash I can see where the vocal begins and ends. Now Rina is not a singer, she is a voice-over but she once stated she loved

Animated Faces (In Game)

Mrs. P  aka Pepper (Emotions) So today I synced a little more of the audio to the project and suddenly something came to mind. The characters have no facial expressions what so ever. So I decided I would create and input them into the game. And it was ever so simple. You select the Enterbrain game engine then press "Select Move Route", then select the character you want to change and change the graphic. It is ever so simple to get what you want. Who'd have guessed?  Voice-over in a game is not enough, so adding say 1-3 more face expressions. Like, normal, happy and unhappy is enough for a sprite game. Ya know there have been many DL site game releases and they Japanese creators, don't even bother going all out. All they do is use the original sprites, and just add art. But me I am different, I'll go more with the in-game sprites because in reality they are the one and only true art within the game. So the game will have voice-over, included animated faces.

Chanrio (Sanrio)

There's this Sanrio character creator by the name of Chanrio where you can make a 2D avatar of yourself, and here is link:   https://chanrio.com/ First of all you select make Chanrio. You can get more parts, but I think that is more or a way for Sanrio to make money. As you know you can sign up with the website. First you pick a girl or a boy. The boy doesn't look too bad, but I'd suggest using your actual gender. At first I thought you had to type in Japanese, but no you can use English. There's a head base with three skin colors. Now there are no dark brown skin tones. Because the characters are supposed to be Asian, so it appeals to people from Asia. If you wanted a darker tone you'd probably have to Photoshop your character. There's hair, eyes, mouth, nose, clothes, and much more to add to your Chanrio. I decided to do the one true Berry Melon aka B.M style. I know there are other Berry Melons out there but I'm n

Torn Between Update: (11/08/2017)

Gigi (Original Sprite Concept) Torn Between (2017) is still in process of being created. I managed to find an original sprite concept art piece which wasn't used and that is how the sprites would have been. So why is it taking to long? It's the whole spell checking, and adding the animated sequences. I can't really progress far without the VO for various sequences as said before so instead it's putting the game together in advance which takes long. I also have to animate the character movements, so they move and ensure the emotion bubbles are present. You can't just make a game, it's not that simple you have to link up the whole story with codes. It's not just like simple, like adding images there is more to the Enterbrain game engine that meets the eye. There is so much "text" I never knew how much I actually wrote for the game. So yeah, I really do prefer making short story based games. But this time I thought if the game were to be small

Animated 2D Sprite Sequence Is Working! I... Hope...

The animation lip-sync sequence is currently in progress. As said before I know how to animate a little as annoying as it may be but it is a major part of the game. The character is supposed to be a vintage singer, so the game wouldn't be without a dance and a song. Now I am unable to progress with the whole animation because first I need the audio. But I have a great idea, I'll get all the animated sprites ready for when the audio is produced. You see for this project, I do all the spriting and story and I leave the vocal audio to the American voice-over artists. I am very happy with the outcome. The animation sequence will be more simple, but first I have to wait for the singing vocal audio not to mention the actual audio which I will then have to sync to the story. I don't rush anyone, it's a slow process. Meanwhile I'll try to piece the game together. In reality I was being lazy and stopped for a while because I was living up the summer holiday and when I g
